The Palisades Pack puts the deepest of backcountry within reach for you and your dog. Our highest-volume pack, it's designed for multi-day treks with roomy saddlebags that host a cross-load compression system for stable, comfortable gear carry. The saddlebags attach securely to a breathable harness chassis, and can be removed at camp to lighten the load for side-excursions.

Multiple pockets and an external daisy chain store and organize your dog's trekking necessities like a sleeping system, food, and even two collapsible hydration bladders that come with the pack.

It’s recommended that your dog carry no more than 25% of their body weight, including pack weight and its contents. If your dog is new to dog packs, start with a light load and work up to a heavier load as your dog gets used to wearing the pack.

What's New: The Palisades has a long history in the Ruffwear pack lineup, and this season's updates were inspired by customer feedback. More breathability and flexibility with a perforated, molded foam chassis; improved fade-resistance with new materials; updated "flopper stopper" system for easier use when stabilizing saddlebags, new stash pocket configuration.

This thing is rad!!
If you need a well built harness for your Staffy Pitty, this fits like a glove. I've been thru half dozen Amazon knock offs before I got smart. This is the last harness I'll need to buy

Perfect pack
We love this pack. We have bought 2 mediums and a large... and a older version. These packs have been through heavy use over last 2 years and still are packing. I love that the saddle bags are removable. The pockets fit what the dogs need and have extra room. We have used these on day hikes and multi-day backpacking trips and they are perfect. My only wish is that this pack came in xsmall for the jack russel. He wears the approach and likes it. Removable backs for his size would be wonderful. But this pack gets 5 stars all the way around

Palisades backpack
Excellent construction. Love the multitude of adjustments that can be made to avoid chaffing, shifting and discomfort. Removable saddlebags are super convenient and quick to attach/detach. Only complaint is I can’t utilize all the pocket space without exceeding my dogs weight limit - perhaps I just need a bigger dog though!
