This is a great tool as I try to train our new puppy for both walking and running - hands free is so much easier for running, and she responds better to the stretching, slower pull as she gets to the end of the leash.

I've only used it with the trail running belt, but it's been great so far. Extremely lightweight but feels very strong. At first I thought the leash might be too short but when it's stretched out all the way, it's actually quite long!

I purchased this leash as a functional ultralight option for my backpacking excursions with my dog. I pair it with a lightweight joring hipbelt and the Ruffwear Trail Runner Vest (which I resewed to make it function as a joring harness). With this setup, and my dog's boundless energy, he is able to pull me along some stretches of the trail while also doing his own water carry. I've only used this once so far on the trail, but it worked exactly as I hoped and has added only 2.2oz to my kit. It is a bit thinner and shorter than Ruffwear's other bungee leashes and I think extensive pulling will test its durability, but for my purposes, it's perfect. The only thing I dislike is the clasp; it's a ridiculous design that is not user-friendly, but I can get over it for the functionality of the rest of the leash.

Bought this leash years ago and got a lot of mileage out of it, but it was time for a refresh. Will buy again in another few years

We use this leash in conjunction with the running belt, and it is very well thought out. The extension is smooth and it maintains its integrity. 11/10 would recommend
