Brush guard helps us help our amputee
Our 12 year old border collie had his right front leg amputated, and is learning to maneuver on three legs. We added the Brush Guard to our Border Collie’s Ruff Wear harness so we could stabilize him as he went up and down stairs and got up into the car. It distributes his weight so we aren’t lifting his 40 pounds with just the two straps on the Ruff Wear harness. It’s been a huge help, although we expect it might be too warm to keep on him during the summer heat.
I got this for extra protection for my day pack. I love the guard and I think it really helps with straps rubbing and for comfort. The only downside is that it isn’t adjustable so it doesn’t fit perfectly.
Performs as promised!
I decided to throw this in with some snow gear and it works well in colder weather (below freezing) and also keeps the chest of our collie free from most debris he would otherwise snag with his coat when he romps in the underbrush.
Web Master Harness and Brush Guard - Other Uses and Sizing
See my review on the Web Master Harness. Also, some reviews state to order a size down. After speaking with customer support, I ordered the corresponding size to match each of the Web Master Harnesses Medium and Large/XL. The Medium Brush Guard fit the Medium Web Master Harness. The Large/XLarge Brush Guard fit the Large/XLarge Web Master Harness. I had no issues putting them on. There is also a video on how to put them on as well.
