Remi and I bought a small Doubleback Harness for Remi to work in. She is in training for Urban Search and Rescue and there are times where she will need to be raised to an area to work. Unlike typical working dog harnesses this one is geared more towards a perfect fit for her. While she is not a huge fan of the rear leg straps, when ascending she is comfortable and secure. Remi is 42 pounds and the small is a perfect fit!

So helpful!

This harness is perfect! My boy (44 pound Australian shepherd) just had knee surgery, so he is supposed to avoid stairs, jumping into the car, etc. He hates being picked up. This harness is amazing and so helpful during his recovery! The leg loops give the extra support that he needs for me to help him up the stairs or lift him into the car. He is also not allowed to hike until he is healed... but with this harness we have found a way around that. I can hook padded straps to the tie handles on the harness and strap my boy over my shoulder which allows me to carry him on our hikes! He enjoys it so much more than house rest. Definitely the best harness I could have asked for.

My dog, Taz was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy and was in need of a harness that would help us, help her. What I loved about this product is that it is made with care, and is durable. Regardless of my little lady’s diagnosis she is just as active as ever and it keeps up with her active lifestyle. The handles are perfect for when she needs a little boost ups and it’s amazinv how the leg loops tuck away into the vest when not needed. Can’t thank You guys enough!

Doubleback Harness for my senior dog

I purchased the doubleback harness for my almost 18 year old bearded collie. He's still very active goes to the beach several days a week and for short hikes, but his back end is really weak now and I wanted a harness he could comfortably wear for long periods of time that would allow me to help support his rear end or lift him totally when needed. This harness give me the option to help him with his front and or rear end. I really like that the main part of the harness that is under his chest is wider than most other harnesses and therefore much more supportive when Im lifting his front end. The back leg straps do exactly what I need them to do which is subtle support when he's having trouble with stairs or uneven ground. At first i thought this harness wouldn't work out because he's got really long hair and the harness secures without buckles but by looping back over with long straps. It isn't an issue at all and Im really happy with this purchase.

We bought this when Sam lost the use of his back legs and we needed something to help with his mobility while recovering. I bought one back in 2010 and it still looks brand new!! Sam ended up wearing it for almost 4 years and it still looks like brand new. This is the BEST thing for an older dog with hip issues!! The padding made it comfortable for all day wear, he had no sores or irritations. The dual handles... GENIUS!!! It made picking up a 100 pound Yellow Lab real easy!! We have loaned it out to others, washed it, swam in it and can I say it still looks almost brand new?? I just recommended this to my Cousin-in-law hence the review now, but its because this this is amazing!! I can only wish that it was around when Sam was younger and we were climbing all the time.
