The Ruffwear Trail Runner™ Belt offers a hands-free option for running on leash while allowing runners to carry all the essentials for a day on the trail. Built with a bounce-free, load-dispersing design, the Trail Runner Belt feels lightweight and comfortable from the first mile to the last. The intuitive leash-attachment is compatible with any leash (we recommend pairing it with the shock-absorbing Ridgeline™ Leash), and allows dogs to roam side to side as they explore the trail. A zippered, water-resistant pocket and a stretch mesh pocket on each side of the belt have plenty of room for pick-up bags, treats and snacks, keys, and other essentials, while a structured holster on the back keeps a water bottle securely in place. BPA-free Ruffwear water bottle is included.

A Very Good Tool

It's really good for hands-free walking, and the water bottle is a big plus. Only gave it 4 stars because I still have to wear a separate treat pouch. Add that functionality and it's an easy 5 stars.

Love this belt!

So far I'm loving the Trail Runner Belt. I was worried it would be too big and move around while I ran but I'm 5'1" ~115lb and it fits just fine. The pockets are great too. I can fit my phone in the mesh pocket, a tennis ball, dog bags and my car key in the zipper pocket. The quick release his saved me several times when my dog decided to book it downhill towards water. The only minor complaint I can think of is that the water bottle sometimes leaks onto my back. Overall, I really love this belt and have already recommended it to several people.

LOVE

I LOVE this belt! It's very comfortable, it stays put without twisting or loosening, it holds a fair amount of stuff, and it's super sturdy. It's held up to my dog suddenly bolting after a squirrel (and I held up too!). We use it for daily walks, just so I can have my hands free, and both my dog and I love it.

Great for hands-free walking / hiking

I bought this for everyday hands-free walking / hiking. it works exactly as it should, is comfortable to wear (5'2" female), and is secure enough to withstand the occasional pulling by my pup. I love the pockets - perfect for keys, phone, **** bags with room to spare! I don't use the water bottle but have used the holder as a treat pouch. If this was detachable and/or flattened, this belt would get 5 stars from me!

Finally! The dog walking belt that works for us

I have tried belt after belt, trying to find the one that will hold the things we (my 4 terriers and I) need at the dog park, or for a walk in the woods. Finally, after years of too bulky/too small/too bouncy/or some other problem, I tried the Trail Runner Belt - and found near perfection! Enough room for sun gloves, keys, and waste bags. A water bottle holder that doesn't let the bottle drop out when I bend over, and doesn't let the bottle bounce against my back. I have added a treat pouch to the front belt, and stitched on a net pocket to hold 2 small balls (cause I am using the 2 pockets it came with for other things) on the side of the water bottle sleeve. Now I can hit the trails with my boys without me feeling like I am packing the equivalent of a suitcase around my waist!
