This dog can slip a collar so quick and I bought him a harness. Put it on him in the house and turned around and the harness was on the floor and he just looked at me. Well, that was just two months ago and he is growing so fast, decided would try the collar. The dog shelter said they are the best for "slippers" and they put them on all the dogs. I had another collar on him and he was in the van and was going to try to get out of my control, He twisted that head and I cranked on that collar so he couldn't slip it. I think that is where the Martingale will be my savior. I like it because it is light in weight and hope he will adjust to having it on. I have had Gr Pyrs for years and years and never had a "slipper" and then this stinker comes along. I didn't have the faith in the harness especially when he tries to back out of it. And he keeps growing!!!!!
My thoughts? well, our 70-lb. 1 yr. old Golden Retriever quite difficult when she sees another dog/rabbit/squirrel/somebody walking past. Training, harnesses, various collars not working.
so this collar helping if not perfect.
I purchased 2 of these collars. They are sturdy, easy to adjust and well made. Definitely worth the price!

I was on the hunt for a new martingale collar with a buckle as the one I was using had a loop that hung low and I was always worried about it catching on something. This design is great. It sits smooth along my dog's neckline and I love being able to hang his tags on a separate loop from where I clip his leash. The quality is great.
