The Ruffwear Polar Trex dog boots are designed for warmth, traction, and protection in winter conditions. Insulated upper softshell fabric creates breathable, weatherproof warmth in extreme cold and inclement weather. Ruffwear-designed Vibram® outsole provides optimum traction on frozen surfaces.

Closure system combines hook-and-loop with hardware, cinching around the narrowest part of the dog’s leg to provide a secure fit. Pullover stretch gaiter keeps snow out and improves retention by protecting the hook-and-loop ankle closure from the elements.

Just as you would with your gear, adjust fit and check tension of boots 15 minutes into your activity and throughout the adventure as needed.

Best Boots Ever!

These are easy to put on and they do stay on. I have a very active Boxer and these boots helped him in snow, on slippery ice, hot pavement cold concrete floors and really rough terrain. I hand wash them when they need it and just let them air dry overnight. The really nice thing is I was able to get his set in 2 sizes because his back paws are smaller than the front. These are so well made, I love them!

My Dog Can Enjoy Snowshoeing Again

Fantastic paw protection. My 15 year old mini poodle was having a rough time keeping up snowshoeing. His paws are just too sensitive at his age. He loves to go but I would end up needing to carry him and warm his paws in my jacket to keep him comfortable. Not anymore. These plus the liners and he is a happy camper again. Took all of 15 minutes for him to get used to them and figure out they protect his feet. He loves them. The only downside experienced so far is in very cold conditions, the vibram soles can still slip and the dog needs to get used to it. No nails exposed to give grip. But he got used to it.

Best shoes ever!

These are the best shoes ever! .... the zip up ankles are the best... they keep the snow out and my puppers feet dry even when running through the deepest of snow. Other shoes I have purchased have slipped off.... These stay on no matter how active my puppers gets... i.e. running around top speed like a crazy fool... no issues with these shoes falling off! oh, and best of all. the rubber is very flexible right out of the box. which translates into zero break in period! Love, Love, Love these shoes. ... and so does my puppers!

Worked great

My lab put them on, just walked funny a few steps and loved them from the get go. I got them as temperatures were dangerously low and she still wanted to still go for walks. She has damaged her pads in past winters. Only reason why not 5 stars as a little rigid on bottom and I couldn’tt tell if her nails were too long. It was awesome buying 2 different sizes for front and back though.

Best dog shoes we have ever purchased

Our golden doodle has worn her shoes many times this winter. She has been out in snow up to her stomach and she’s been on multiple hikes. These shoes haven’t fallen off a single time, which was a problem we had in the past with other brands. The only issue we have is that the outside sleeve isn’t tight even for our dog’s skinny legs, so snow does get in under that - but it never gets into the actual shoe. I would and will buy them again in the future.
