The Ruffwear Polar Trex dog boots are designed for warmth, traction, and protection in winter conditions. Insulated upper softshell fabric creates breathable, weatherproof warmth in extreme cold and inclement weather. Ruffwear-designed Vibram® outsole provides optimum traction on frozen surfaces.

Closure system combines hook-and-loop with hardware, cinching around the narrowest part of the dog’s leg to provide a secure fit. Pullover stretch gaiter keeps snow out and improves retention by protecting the hook-and-loop ankle closure from the elements.

Just as you would with your gear, adjust fit and check tension of boots 15 minutes into your activity and throughout the adventure as needed.

Boots are just OK

Used them 6 or 7 times this past winter. They are not a joy to put on but the real problem is that they don’t keep out snow. Snow gets inside the boots, then melts then freezes. After about 20-30 minutes, my dogs are begging me to take them off. They are OK, but the design could be improved.

Love these boots!

Once I got the fit right (had to size down) I’ve found that these boots are awesome! They stayed on for our entire hike yesterday, no problem. My dog doesn’t seem to mind and they didn’t impede on her activities while out and about. They don’t seem to offer much traction on ice, but did great as she plowed through the snow.

They are sturdy and well made. However, my dog has big feet but skinny ankles. When cinched, the extra fabric is very stiff and hard and seemed to bother him. We'll be making our own modifications to this product - removing some of the extra fabric. It would be good if that were a softer fabric that doesn't hurt when bunched together.

Polar trex

They are a great fit and easy to get on. We love them as our pup wants to be outside regardless the whether and doesn’t slow down even if ice builds up in his paws. Only downside is noticing snow pile up in the gater section or cover. Not sure if it’s a sizing thing or what. But love them.
