Ridgeline™ Leash

The Ridgeline makes taking a big dog who occasionally wants to pull a much more enjoyable experience.

This shorter leash works well for my wife to keep our husky under control. We like the elasticity so if he does tug it is not as great a shock to the arm and shoulder. Time will tell on longevity. We have only had it a month so far. The previous Web Master Harness went 4-1/2 years of daily use with a rather active dog.

It works great with my 11 lb chihuahua mix. It's lightweight and strong enough so that he can't pull on it too hard.

The normal ruffwear quality is built into this leash. Know, though, that it's short and very lightweight. Good for medium sized dogs who need to be kept on a short leash. Our littlest 12-lb dog was too small for this; it kept him pulled back too much. Our big 65-lb boxer/lab mix just kept it at full extension the whole walk. Not sure how we'll use it going forward, but the quality is great.

I run with my dog with my leash in hand. I had been using a normal 6-footer with no bungee. Reeling it in when she’s close to me and letting out slack had been getting annoying (and a dangerous tripping hazard!). This does the exact trick! When my dog is near me, there is no slack to trip over. When she falls behind or runs ahead, she has a safe amount of room to work with. Eventually I might get the harness for myself to wear, but for now, I like the safety of having her in my hand. Only lost one star because I wish it came in more fun colors.
