Answer the call of the open road with your No. 1 canine co-pilot and the Load Up Harness - a crash tested dog harness designed to travel to and from adventures. Built with strength-rated hardware and components, the Load Up Harness has been designed to be easy to put on, comfortable over long hauls, and able to withstand the rigors of a vehicle crash.

The universal seat belt loop attaches to existing seat belts and allows dogs to stand, sit, and sleep as they please while keeping them secure during sudden vehicle movements. The Load Up is easy to put on and adjust, and it can be left on dogs for quick bathroom breaks and rest stops.

    Comfortable for my pup.

    The Load Up Harness works great. It is easy to put on my dog, and even easier to get off. It keeps him contained in the back seat, but still gives him the freedom to stand, sit, lay and move around. He seems comfortable wearing it, even walking around in it when we go to the dog park. Really great design, thanks Ruffwear!

    Cross country travel

    We just completed a 3 day drive with our two dogs who have never enjoyed car rides. The Load Up harness allowed them to sit, stand or lie down, and was comfortable enough to leave on during rest stops. It was easy to adjust sizing after watching the video. Great product!

    Good mix of comfort, security, and safety

    This harness fits my pup really well and seems very secure in the car. Unlike some other popular dog car harnesses I have tried, the chest piece of this one fits nicely and isn't too broad or rigid between the legs, and I haven't had any issues with my dog trying to back out of the harness. The harness is very easy to adjust and appears sturdy. Love the steel blue color on my pup, but would of course love more color options!

    Glad to know my dog is safer in the car

    I have a crate for certain occasions to help keep my pup safe, but when it’s a quicker trip nothing beats this harness for the balance of safety and comfort.
