Access ID™ Lite Service Dog Vest

This has quickly become my dog’s favorite vest and he repeatedly chooses to wear it over a standard straight front style. I find myself reaching for it on days of doctors appointments and when we have to go out in the rain as water beads off it and it is very easy to wipe clean. I am pleased with the quality of materials and how comfortable it is for my dog. We recently took it on a flight and it did not set off the TSA metal detector. The only metal is in the zipper pulls which makes this vest very lightweight. I have a 70lb Labrador, 30” girth and he fits a L on the smallest setting. This vest was developed for programs to fit the breeds they commonly use: retrievers and smaller shepherds. It is ideal for those breeds, smaller dogs, and puppies. I do not think it would fit well on blockier bullies or mastiff type dogs.

Some recommendations for future versions: the straps are difficult to adjust, as others have mentioned. This is particularly counterintuitive on the upgraded version with magnetic buckles. I wish we could purchase some of the other colors that programs have access to like grey and green. I would also like to see a sturdier version, perhaps based on a front range or webmaster that could accommodate d rings for a handle/leash attachment. My major frustration is that this vest looks like a y style pet harness from the front so people assume my dog is not a service dog if we approach head on.
