The BackTrak Evac Kit™ is an emergency evacuation kit that’s prepared for the unexpected so you and your dog can confidently go out and go further.

It includes two components: a lightweight first-aid dog muzzle, and a human vest with a built-in dog carrying sling. Together, these are designed to aid you if an emergency situation comes up and your dog is injured or sick and unable to get back to the car under their own power.

The first-aid muzzle features micro-adjustability around the snout and has a buckle for quick and easy securing behind your dog's ears. The human vest/dog sling features several points of adjustment for the dog and human, with color-coded straps for easy setup. It can be worn with the dog either in the front or the back.

    You need this if you spend time in the mountains with your dogs!

    I was so excited to see the Ruffwear BackTrack Dog Evacuation Kit! I had seen similar products from other companies but didn’t invest in an emergency dog stretcher until Ruffwear came out with this. It’s very well made, and fits compactly into any backpack. We hike with our dogs year round and being able to pack an injured dog out of the mountains is a serious concern. I love everything about this, down to the smallest details (like the soft muzzle that’s included because they know even the sweetest pups will bite when they are injured/hurt). It’s a comfortable fit for my dogs, and makes carrying a 35+ pound dog for 5+ miles down a steep mountain trail actually possible. Highly recommend measuring your dog before you buy to make sure this will work like it’s supposed to. Very happy with this purchase, thank you Ruffwear!!

    Emergency kit. Ideal for dayhikes.

    This is the second evacuation Kit I buy, first was stolen from my car. I have one lab and one pitbull that love go hiking with me. This kit makes me feel prepared if by any reason one of them can't walk anymore ( say simply for fatigue, or injury). I got decided to buy this after I had to hike down with my pitbull in my arms because he got exhausted from a hike. I feel more confident with it in my bag.
