For dogs who find their flow in the water, the Confluence™ Life Jacket blends the streamlined fit and mobility of a harness with the buoyancy of a life vest, giving dogs the comfort, confidence, and freedom to explore in and around water.

Strategically placed foam panels create optimal buoyancy to support a natural swimming position. The strong low-profile handle makes for easy and balanced assisting back on board, with a stealthy second rear handle for an extra lift when needed.

Webbing is water stable, holding its shape and not stretching out when wet, maintaining a secure fit across the six points of adjustment. Clip in to the reinforced tow loop as a leash attachment point when needed. Reflective trim boosts visibility in low light conditions, and a dedicated light loop for The Beacon™ when adventure stretches past sundown.

    Fits great and lots of mobility

    Great handle for lifting her on and off the boat. Luckily have not yet had to use the handle to retrieve her from a fall in the water but suspect it would work great for that too. She’s a great swimmer so good thing about this jacket is there is lots of mobility for her legs to swim. Also like the bright orange color for safety.

    I live on the water and without this would mean without my bassett

    Bassett hounds sink like a rock we live a very active lifestyle in glacier bay national park my dog lives in his life vest this is second ruffwear life vest he outgrew his first and i like that it lets him move freely (go potty) and doesn’t limit his mobility

    He fell in once and luckily he had his life vest on because it kept his head above the water until i pulled him out

    Harness Style is Great

    Love the harness style of this life jacket, feels more like my Astral Green Jacket. The two handles will be clutch for getting my 75 lbs GSP back in the boat after he bails to run on the bank. Only thing this PFD is missing is spot to put a river knife ;)

    A Life Jacket for my High-Energy Pup!

    I have been planning to order a life jacket from Ruffwear for summer 2025 and was very excited to see the Confluence Dog Life Jacket released. We spend a good amount of time in the summer around and on the water. Kayaking. Canoeing. Paddleboarding. Hiking by rivers. Three cheers for a life jacket made with movement as a priority!

    I have an Australian Shepherd who is on the smaller side, weighing in full-grown at 42lbs. We originally ordered a M, but exchanged for an S (more on that later).

    PROS: I love the visible and hidden handles. Picking him up with the life jacket on is SO easy. I like the leash attachment option, the straps are well-secured and adjustable. The vibrant color is a great bonus.

    CON (potential): When trying on the item, we realized that it went too far down his stomach and wasn't comfortable for my pup in a size medium (definitely a boy-specific problem). Ruffwear has fantastic return policies to we exchanged his size M for a S. I had to tighten the M quite a bit, so we are hoping that a size down will be our perfect fit. That being said, if you are between sizes, especially with a male dog, I would recommend sizing down.
