Gnawt-a-Rock™

natural rubber treat dispenser & toy

Color

Selected: Lichen Green

It may look like a piece of obsidian rock, but it’s Gnawt-a-Rock – a durable throw toy is inspired by natural volcanic glass formed by rapidly cooling lava from Pacific Northwest volcanoes. The Gnawt-a-Rock is made with natural latex rubber, a faceted surface, and an irregular shape. It all comes together to keep your pup guessing, whether chasing after its erratic bounce or nuzzling and nosing it around for interactive treat-dispensing to stimulate their mind.

Check out the Gnawt-a-Stick™ and Gnawt-a-Cone™ - the other two toys in the Pacific Gnaw-west toy collection inspired by the natural surroundings in Ruffwear’s home of Bend, Oregon.

One Size: 4.5 in (11.5 cm) Diameter

Our toys are designed to be interactive – it's just more fun that way. While our toys suit a range of play styles, dogs can be crafty and determined chewers, so supervised play is recommended. If any part of the toy becomes loose or detached, take the toy away and discard.

    Winner!

My dogs absolutely love this toy! They haven’t left it alone since I gave it to them a few days ago! It’s an excellent activity to keep them busy when they’re bored; I just plop some treats inside and let them go at it!

    Excellent interactive feeder!

Got this toy intending for it to be for treats, but my pittie's kibble is perfect! So on days when the weather won't allow our usual outdoor activities, I put his whole meal in here to help with enrichment. Travels easier than a snuffle mat for when we're out of town as well.

    Best puzzle feeder ever!

My dog loves this thing a ridiculous amount. We have tried various slow feeders and puzzle feeders, but this one has stood the test of time! Always a favorite. It's too large for my dog (a lab) to pick up with his mouth, so he can't just throw it like he can the Kongs and other smaller dispensers to get the food to come out. He has to roll it with his nose and feet, and his tail is wagging like the mad the whole time. Keeps him occupied, good enrichment, good quality material. It's easy for me to fill, too. I bought a few of them to have as back ups to keep at my parent's house and other places my dog goes so he always has one. The dispensing holes are too small for Charlee Bears or other larger treats though, which is fine by me, because the size of hole is absolutely perfect for his meal kibble and small treats.

    My dog loves this

I decided to buy this as it was a discontinued color (I believe). My dog inhales her food; I already use a “slow feeder” bowl, but now I put most her food in this Rock, some in the slow feeder, and hide the rock in a different location each time. She’s a 5 month old German Shepherd so she’s learning how to search and use her nose. This has been a great way to do it!
