It looks like a piece of Obsidian from our nearby lava flows, but it’s Gnawt-a-Rock™! This durable throw toy is inspired by natural volcanic glass formed by rapidly cooling lava from Pacific Northwest volcanoes. Unlike Obsidian, the Gnawt-a-Rock is made with natural latex rubber, with a faceted, gum-massaging surface. Its irregular shape creates an erratic bounce, and it has a treat-dispensing design for interactive play and reward.

Part of the Pacific Gnaw-west toy collection inspired by Ruffwear’s home of Bend, Oregon, and its natural surroundings.

Diameter: 4.5 (in), 11.5 (cm), Holds up to 2 cups of kibble.

    A great way to keep your pup busy!

    We got this for our pup and he loves figuring out how to get all his kibble out of it. Its super durable with a fun, unpredictable bounce. Our pup loves it!

    great enrichment, and not noisy

    My dog really only connects with toys that dispense food, and this Gnawt-a-Rock is plenty of fun. What I like is that its easy to fill and clean. What my dog likes is that all the kibble or treats do eventually fall out. What my husband likes is that the toy is quiet on our wooden floors (unlike other similar toys we have).

    Love the Gnawt-a-Rock!!

    I had bought one of these in a pet store as a gift for my sister’s dog who loves it and we just adopted a dog for ourselves and wanted one for him. He loves it and is getting many hours of enjoyment out of it. I will definitely buy more as gifts in the future.

    My dog loves gnawt a Rock

    After seeing the quality of ruffwears collar and harness I decided to check out 1 of their toys. My Australian Shepherd has not stopped playing with it since I gave it to her. I break a milkbone in half,I slide it inside the toy. This is the only toy she can't figure out, but she tries and tries!
