It fits my greyhound well, which is surprising because not many things do. It may chafe if she walked a long distance in it because it is slightly wider than needed between her front legs. But she’s comfortable enough to sleep in the car with it on!
It doesn’t have a D-ring attachment because this harness should only be used to secure your dog in the car. Using it for walking or potty breaks could wear it down in ways you may not notice causing it to fail in a crash. I simply keep mine in the car- like a car seat and then she gets strapped in once she’s in the backseat.
But there are many ways you can temporarily attach a leash to them for transport, like looping the leash around and snapping it to itself or getting a carabiner and attaching to that. Or using a collar. So the lack of D-ring is for good reason and a leash can still be used if needed - it just may need a little extra effort.
My greyhound is crate-adverse and I don’t think the other harnesses on the market would fit her well. The clasps on this one seem very safe and I’d rather have her restrained than flying at me in a crash of nothing else. It also helps for quick decisions on the road, you no longer have to consider if a stop will be too harsh and hurt your dog. Makes it easier to drive safely in the event of a deer or other situation where sudden stops are needed.
I would recommend to anyone who is looking to keep their dog safer in the car!
