Lumenglow™ Hi-Vis Dog Jacket

This is a product I wasn’t quite sure I needed but I find it much more useful than I would have thought. I have a black dog so walking at night is obviously somewhat dangerous, this makes us clearly visible for early morning and late night runs/walks. Also when we go camping and he has to go potty, it’s super easy on and off, and I can see him FAR with minimal light. It’s also lightly waterproof so can function as a rain jacket for a short time.

Marcia is visible to hunters on our walks. The reflective strips are effective. I struggle to buckle the jacket because the buckles are well protected in a sheath, but it does keep them clean and protected. I like how the underside of this jacket protects her chest from the mud she kicks up when she puts her butt on the ground and hauls it as fast as she possibly can. The only complaints I have regarding this jacket are complaints about the functionality of my own hands more than they have anything to do with the product. Rugged materials, quality construction, phenomenal understanding of the actual shapes dogs come in, this jacket meets the high expectations I hold for Ruffwear products.

I bought this for my older dog a few years ago and now with a new younger dog, I had to get a new one for him. The older one has held up really well for the 3-4 years i’ve had it. We use it in the fall every year when hunting season starts. It gets used every day for about 4 months, hiking off trail through dense brush and it’s held up amazingly well.
