It's windproof, waterproof, and ready for whatever's in the forecast. The Sun Shower™ is a dog raincoat that keeps your pup dry when you run into wet conditions during outdoor pursuits. The oversized storm collar folds up for additional weather protection and the leash portal on the back fits over most harnesses.

Whether you're blazing the trails or exploring the backcountry, leg loops provide a secure fit option in windy weather, while reflective accents create visibility in low-light conditions. The relaxed fit and side-release buckles make it easy to put on and take off, and the extended vest means more coverage for your dog's hips and thighs.

While each style of Ruffwear apparel is designed for its intended use, this guide generalizes our fits in three ways. The Sun Shower is a Relaxed Fit with extended vest coverage and side-release buckles for easy on/off.

the perfect coat
We love the raincoat! It was nearly impossible finding a jacket without a hood (our dog would never tolerate that) and this exceeded expectations. She is tall and 55 pounds and the medium is perfect - roomy enough to let her run with a harness on and have other layers if needed. The back leg bands are loose so she doesn't notice them, and the tail opening is perfect as her tail curls up vertically without knocking the jacket off.

Hopefully will help
My 'new dog to me' is 7 years old. He has very short hair and hates going out in the rain. I tried an umbrella but he was afraid of it. I have put the raincoat on him twice and he has gone out to 'get busy' but races back to the door. I'm going to work on desensitizing him to the umbrella because I think the combination of the raincoat and the umbrella will make his outside time much more comfortable. BUT, he looks absolutely handsome in his raincoat!

Makes my dog enjoy rainy walks!
The raincoat fits well and has a small amount of adjustability which is nice. I really like the leg loops so it stays put. My dog is pretty comfortable wearing clothes but had never worn anything with leg loops before- but they seemed comfortable enough to not bother him at all! He really enjoys his walks in the rain now and I don't have to worry about wet dog smell! Win!
