When shade is low and the mercury is high, dogs can count on the Swamp Cooler™ Vest to help keep the adventure going. Strategic material choices and design offer solutions for the challenges that hot-weather exploring presents. The light-colored fabric reflects solar radiation, while wetting the vest activates our Swamp Cooler™ Tech for that refreshing, just-stepped-out-of-a-lake feeling also known as evaporative cooling. Just give it a soak, put it on your dog, and go. When it dries, re-soak it to recharge it.

The Swamp Cooler™ Vest includes side-release buckles for easy on/off and a leash portal so it can be worn over a harness – topping off the essential features to make it our highest-coverage cooling option in the Swamp Cooler™ Collection. THREE-LAYER CONSTRUCTION

Wicking outer layer: reflects heat, facilitates evaporation to disperse heat, and offers UPF 50+. Absorbent middle layer: stores water for evaporation. Mesh lining: keeps dog dry and comfortable.

While each style of Ruffwear apparel is designed for its intended use, this guide generalizes our fits in three ways. The Swamp Cooler Vest is a Relaxed Fit with vest coverage and side-release buckles for easy on/off.

1 COOL big dog!
Today we received the swamp cooler vest. Just in time for the first real heatwave for summer. My 7-month old (70+ lbs) Great Pyrenees pup is happy. He has room to grow into it and it fits him loosely. Glad we bought the XL size. Very happy with purchase and speed of delivery.
I tell all my k9 lovers buy Ruffwear, you won’t regret it.

These cooler coats are the best!
I have two of these cooler coats from 2009 which I still use for my 9 year old Newf and I just bought a new one for my 6 month old puppy. We have used them for years dry after the dogs have been training for Water Rescue Dog titles. They raw the water out of the dogs coats so they are much easier to finish during with the dog blower once we get home! Then of course we also use them wet whenever it is too hot for the dogs. They really work to cool them off!

Cool and looks good!
I purchased this last year and just got it out again with the mid 90s temperatures and high humidity. Luna loves it and it definitely keeps her cooler on her walks and woodsy hikes.
