I do a lot of trail running and mountain biking with my dog. In the hot summer months, this is a necessary item that goes with us on every outing. We've ran short distances (3 miles or less) in up to 90 degree weather and I didn't notice excessive drooling, foaming at the mouth, or fatigue. We've also used it for 10+ miles in 80 degree weather and she was able to keep up great with me on my mountain bike. I make sure to bring extra water to squirt on her (along with water for her to drink) and make sure to wet her down every so often. I'm not sure how well this would work with dogs that have longer hair however, I have a vizsla with very short fur.

I love this harness. It fits perfectly on my dog. Stella is all black and she gets really hot on walks.

When it was time to get her a cooling jacket we thought of Ruffwear right off. Years ago we bought Ruffwear cooling jackets for our beagles but Stella hates to wear anything. Stays damp for a long time and actually does stay cool (I was skeptical!). My pup wears smalls in all ruffwear gear and this does run a bit big. She still fit in the small but the back strap is done all the way up. She's 29lbs and 22" on the widest part of her chest. She's a hot, black dog in Arizona so definitely appreciates the extra help staying cool.

Haven’t got a chance to use it on a hot day yet but as far the harness goes, it feels quality made and looks great on my dog! Excited to get some adventures in with this!

So far so good! The material is super soft and my boy loves wearing it!
