Trail Runner™ Dog Leash Belt System

We purchased a second Trail Runner for our new dog because we love the first one so much. It is easy to use (after a brief intro period) and makes hiking with the pups much easier and enjoyable for everyone. Especially love the security of the dog to person connection while having an effective quick release. Well done!

I really wanted to get a waist bag that I could take on runs with my dog. I was using just a Columbia fannypack before. And it was annoying that it bounced around on me. My shirt would get pushed up while running. So I would constantly have to pull my shirt back down around my waist. I think this solution is awesome. I took it on a short run just to do a bounce test. It is really cold in the PNW right now, so I’m not running outside at the moment. And I think it’s pretty good. I noticed that it still pushed my shirt up a little bit. But the bouncing is a lot lesser. The quick release is a little annoying when putting on the pack - I haven’t decided if I will just leave the leash connected and step into it or if I will undo and redo the quick release each time. I am sure I will get use to strapping my dog in though. Minor complaint. But I do recommend this for someone wanting to take their dog on runs without the bounce. Love that this included the leash and a small water bottle. Looking forward to trail running next Spring.

The belt is super comfortable and holds all the necessities I bring on runs. I was a little skeptical about the leash since my dog is 70lbs and definitely pulls me forward on parts of the run but it held up great and I appreciated it having a lot of give. Its easy to take on and off and like all Ruffwear gear it looks great.

This is an awesome belt and pack system. I especially love having the water bottle for long walks in warmer weather.
