Dogs can hold their stride with the Vert™ Jacket no matter what elements are thrown their way. Designed to embrace the wintry-mix that would otherwise mean spending the day inside, the shell fabric is windproof, waterproof, and breathable.

The Vert™ Jacket features extended waterproof coverage over the hips and thighs and recycled, lofted insulation that packs exceptional warmth. Leg loops keep the jacket in place when the winds kick up, and the leash portal allows the Vert™ to be worn over a harness.

While each style of Ruffwear apparel is designed for its intended use, this guide generalizes our fits in three ways. The Vert is a Relaxed Fit with side-release buckles for easy on/off and extended vest coverage over hips and thighs.

    Excellent Winter Coat

    We live in Iowa where winters are brutal. We have tried other winter coats for our 13-year old Golden Retriever (who suffers from arthritis) and none really worked until we bought the Vert. The coat covers his entire back and the side are long, keeping wind out and him warm. The expanded coverage eliminates the need for legs which, in other coats, caused real problems with his arthritis. Ruffwear has redesigned the clips and they are much easier to work.

    Great fit!

    Archie has a long slim body and this coat is the best fit I’ve found so far and stays in place even without the leg straps. Ive tried a lot and other brands but to get the length they are usually too wide on his body. We’ve also tried it out in heavy rain and it kept him nice and dry, would definitely buy again!
