Cowboy (a 3-1/2 year old Standard Poodle) currently has a Front Range harness for general walking, a Flagline harness for nosework training and competitions. We have an older Swamp Cooler vest for hot weather nosework trials (may need to invest in the Swamp Cooler harness), an older Overcoat Fuse Harness Jacket for winter walks, 2 Sun Shower Raincoats (old and new version).
I decided to invest in the Vert for our winter weather walks (we don’t have a fenced yard so we walk in all kinds of weather). We had several other jackets, but none with the flexibility of having a harness on underneath with the leash portal. That, along with the leg loops that keep the jacket in place over the hips on windy days, made the Vert Winter Dog Coat purchase a no brainer. The Overcoat Fuse Harness Jacket is good for a quick potty break in winter weather, but doesn’t compare to the Vert for the longer walks outdoors.
We are very satisfied with our purchase.
