Love this harness, it fits perfect. The third strap holds it in place and gives great support. Looking forward to many hikes with our 10 month old pup.

We spend a lot of time out during hunting season, and even when away from "obvious" hunting areas, having my girl in blaze adds confidence that she'll be seen. She uses it all the time too, not just hunting. I don't want her to be mistaken for a coyote, and it's also easier to keep an eye on her when she's free-running. We do plenty of scrambling too, and sometimes she needs a little assistance. This harness does the job when lifting, with no concern of her slipping! Her other Ruffwear harness is more casual, for leashed walks, but this is my new go-to for the big adventures. Ruffwear has always been and will always be, my most trusted doggo brand. The gear takes the beatings and keeps going strong!!

We ordered the L/XL blaze orange for my 80-pound reactive coonhound mastiff mix. It’s substantial enough to feel like I can have a good grip on him as needed, but not as bulky as other handled harnesses. He seems very secure and comfortable in it with no impediment of movement. Runs a little big on him; I’d consider a medium next time since he straddles the line between sizes and the extra straps can get loose and dirty.
