Trail-Tested: How Ruffwear Ambassadors Put Our Fall/Winter 2025 Gear to Work

From layering pieces that keep dogs warm in shifting weather to essentials that make life on the go easier, the Fall/Winter 2025 collection is a toolkit for staying warm, prepared, and able to move together through any journey.

But the best test of any gear is how it performs in real life. That’s why we turned to our Ruffwear Ambassadors: a team of dogs and humans who put our products through the paces in outdoor environments spanning six countries. This season, Noami and her pup Amara, Lulu and Oskar, and Katie, Quincy, and Sonora shared their experiences. From life on the road in a Bronco to daily adventures in Munich, Germany, and Mesa, Arizona, their stories capture what it means to explore together, no matter the terrain or temperature.

Lulu & Oskar 🇩🇪

For Lulu and her dog Oskar, life near Munich means everything from sunrise hikes to weekend getaways. That variety has made the new Fall/Winter ‘25 collection especially useful.

The Climate Changer™ Fleece Jacket is waiting in the wings for colder days, but Lulu already knows it’ll be key once the temperatures drop.  “It will be perfect for frosty mornings and sunrise tours in winter,” she says. “That’s when Oskar usually gets chilly, and the jacket will keep him comfortable from the start.”

When it comes to longer trips, the Kibble Kaddie™ Dog Food Carrier has quickly become an essential. “It comes with us on every weekend trip or holiday. It’s super practical because I can store all of Oskar’s food in one place, it stays dry, and the waterproof material gives me peace of mind no matter where we put it.” Built with a roll-top closure, a food spout for controlled dispensing, and grease-resistant fabric, it keeps meals organized and fresh no matter the destination.

Closer to home, the Treat Trader™ Dog Treat Pouch has earned a permanent spot at Lulu’s side. “It’s become a daily companion,” she says. “As a treat pouch, it makes training and walks so much easier — I always have snacks within reach, and it keeps everything neat compared to having crumbs in my pockets.”

With a secure magnetic closure and a design that clips comfortably to the waist, it’s made for quick rewards during training sessions or casual strolls.

Katie, Quincy & Sonora 🇺🇸

In the desert city of Mesa, Arizona, Katie and her companions Quincy and Sonora balance daily park walks with weekend adventures. For them, convenience and connection are key, and that’s where this season’s gear has stepped in.

The Home Trail™ Hip Pack has become a staple in their daily routine.

“From weekend excursions to daily adventures, the Home Trail™ Hip Pack is a go-to,” Katie says. “It always stores our treats, tennis ball, phone, keys, poop bags, and more. Perfect for a park walk or a long hike.”

“Having treats and toys within reach at all times makes our time more fun and grows our connection with each other,” Katie explains.

The Treat Trader™ adds to that ease, clipping on for quick rewards without fumbling. “The versatility of the Home Trail™ Hip Pack and Treat Trader™ are irreplaceable,” she explains. “Their capacity is large, without feeling bulky!”

Whether on short strolls or longer hikes, that balance of space and comfort has made it easy to bring along everything Quincy and Sonora need to stay happy and engaged.

Noami & Amara 🇺🇸

Noami and her dog Amara call a Bronco home, and adventure is simply a way of life. From dawn hikes to lakeside fishing, the right gear makes all the difference.

As for the Home Trail™ Hip Pack, Kibble Kaddie™, and Treat Trader™, these have become everyday essentials.

“They’re my grab-and-go trio,” Noami says. “The Home Trail™ Hip Pack holds my phone, keys, poop bags, Amara’s collapsible bowl, and night light, the Kibble Kaddie™ makes it easy to carry her camp food, and the Treat Trader™ clips on so I can reward her without digging around.”

She especially appreciates their functionality on early mornings and quick setups.

“Dawn hikes, riverside fishing, and quick camping setups where I need one-hand access and zero kibble mess in the truck,” Noami explains. “The Treat Trader™ opens one-handed and the magnetic closure actually stays shut when I bend or fish — no spills or zipper fumbling.”

Her favorite moment this season so far?

“Sunrise on an Eastern Sierra lake, rod in one hand, Amara heeling on the other, and I popped a treat from the Treat Trader™.”

No matter how our gear is put to the test, whether on adventures far away or close to home, these snapshots capture exactly what this collection — and Ruffwear gear as a whole — was designed for: inspiring dog and human connections outdoors.
