Polar Trex™ Winter Dog Boots

winter traction & insulation

Color

Selected: Obsidian Black

I need

The Polar Trex dog snow boots provide warmth, traction, and protection so those paws can keep exploring in winter conditions.

Constructed with an insulated softshell upper for breathable, weatherproof warmth in extreme cold and inclement weather. The Ruffwear-designed Vibram® Icetrek™ outsole provides traction on frozen surfaces and is a barrier against cold and snow-melt chemicals. The hook-and-loop closure cinches at the narrowest part of the dog’s leg for a secure fit. Zip the stretch gaiter over the closure to protect the hook-and-loop from snow build-up.

Just as you would with your gear, adjust fit and check tension of boot straps 15 minutes into your activity and throughout the adventure as needed.

Set of TWO boots. Many dogs have wider front paws than rear paws. We offer our boots in sets of two so you can order the appropriate sizes for a good fit on both the front and rear paws.

    Ollie loves his boots!

Ofcourse he was a bit hesitant at first, but we live in Vermont and its really cold. These booties are awesome! He can hike all winter with us and his feet stay dry and no ice balls between his toes!

One thing - its been really icy here - is there a Polar 2.0 with more traction? We would happily test them out. Yesterday we had to cut our hike short because he was slipping off of the trail due to the thick ice under the snow on the trail. I wear spikes or cramp ons.... any for dogs in the works?

Great product but need to exchange the front shoes to a size below it because the ones I got were too big for my dog's feet but I tested the hind shoes that I got in 1.5 and they seem to fit just fine which I was worried about it being too tight for my dog. Hopefully I'll train him inside the house with the shoes so he gets comfortable before letting him run outside

Jackson is loving his Polar Trex Winter Boots

We go for a daily 3-mile walk in a local park with our 9.5-year-old Rottweiler, Jackson, and this year is a snowy, icy, and slushy one with salt put down in areas. We have been looking at Ruffwear boots for a while now and figured they were the best option for our 4-legged friend. We did test runs at home and realized the front paws were too big. We returned them and did an outdoor test walk with the hind legs while waiting for the correctly sized front ones, and he did great. We have all four boots now, and he is loving his cold, winter(*) walks. (*)I don't have a picture with a bunch of snow on the ground 🫣

    10/10! Nice job Ruffwear!

I’ve tried so many different types of boots and shoes for my dog and these are by far the best. We live in New England and it gets cold! They heavily salt the roads up here and even with paw balm and washing his feet, my dog’s feet were bad last year. I tried other boots but we’d loose them in the snow or he’d refuse to walk. I ordered these boots over the summer and got him used to them. We just got our first snow storm of the season and after an hour of walking in 7” of snow and ice, his feet stayed completely dry.

Make sure you measure both your dog’s front and back paws, mine wears 2 different sizes.

    Winter boots

My older pup has had these same boots for a few years and they have been perfect in every way.

Younger pup has his own pair now and both are ready for snow trips!
