The Ruffwear Web Master Harness is a secure, supportive, multi-use harness built for maneuvering and assisting dogs up and over obstacles as well as for designated working dogs. Thin, durable foam provides support without hindering range of motion and a platform for attaching patches and signage for working dogs. Five points of adjustment create a secure fit, while padded chest and belly straps make the Web Master comfortable for all-day wear. The preferred harness of many avalanche rescue dog programs, service dog handlers, and amputee dogs, the Web Master is a great collar alternative and ideal for hiking, scrambling, and mobility assistance.

Too Much Harness

Faith, our dog, loves her previous Ruffwear harness. We wanted to have more control when we are out and about. She doesn’t feel comfortable this new one so we will go back to our first one. We’ll use it for hiking and such.

A must have for dogs with Degenerative Myopathy!

I didn't purchase this exact harness, but a less expensive Ruff Wear harness with handle (it didn't have pockets). My 12-year-old, 60 lb doggo Elwood was diagnosed with Degenerative Myopathy -- his back legs didn't keep up with his front ones. It's not a painful disease, just a confusing one. Sometimes those legs wouldn't do what Elwood told them to do. Stairs became impossible, getting up from a laying position was hard, and occasionally a back leg would just give out. Elwood wore his harness constantly for the last 6 months of his life. In fact, THE HARNESS MADE HIS LAST SIX MONTHS OF LIFE POSSIBLE. If he struggled to stand up, I grabbed the handle and helped. When we walked around the block (our vet insisted he keep walking to maintain whatever muscle strength we could), I'd pull up on the handle a little, taking 5 or 10 lbs of pressure off, then he could handle the rest. Did I look like a crazy lady, walking the dog like a suitcase? Sure. And you'd do the same! I thought for certain this sort of use would give him armpit rashes; it did not. That harness worked like a dream. Elwood died a year ago. I'm online ordering a different harness for our new puppy, and realized I owed a thank you and (at very least) a positive review of the product. Elwood's harness is hanging in the garage. It looks new, except for Elwood's hair is still weaved into the fabric on the backside.

Great harness!

I have a 85lb Bernese mountain dog so the harness really helped me to get ahold of her when necessary.

My mistake.

It was too small and we’re too old. Buster has a funky left hind leg. Having to lift his forepaw to put the harness on made him teeter and list. I was attracted to the handle with thoughts to assist him into cars, up stairs. Just the sort of efforts that I too could use a bit of help with. I lost more money on the purchase and return Than anticipated, particularly paying return across the continent. That said, it was a handsome well made harness.

The best harness ever!

I was at a point where I could no longer take my dog on walks because he would buck out of every harness and collar (and there were several) that I purchased. He started to gain weight. I had given up. I couldn’t risk the liability of having a 1yr old pitbull (not fully trained to obey commands) getting lose and playing catch me if you can. HOWVER, I decided to perform research and found many other people had this problem. One lady on a website recommended visiting Ruffwear website. What a Godsend!!!! I purchased the Ruffwear Web Master harness and it has been a happy story ever since. OH - He tries to buck but I have full control and the harness hardly budges and he can’t get out of it. We go on multiple walks a day now (He’s lost a few lbs) and I can’t thank Ruffwear enough!!!! The best harness ever!!! Great material and sturdy buckles. I will be purchasing another one in a different color as a back up.
