The design of this seat cover is simple but effective. The material is heavy-duty & I know it wears well, as a friend has had one in his car for over a year & his still looks good. Our car is a Suzuki Jimny, an ultra-small SUV, but the headrest loops work & the seat belt openings are still spaced OK for their leash harnesses. The cover is just not as taut across the rear seat back as it might be in a larger car. We use it in “hammock mode”, & it does a fair job of keeping our tall & hyperactive dog out of the front seat. With the combo of the Dirtbag & her seat belt harness, though she still occasionally gets her front paws over the top of the hammock, at least it’s not her whole body like before & we’re all riding safer. Because our front seats are bucket seats, & one of us humans is short & one tall, the seats are rarely set up even with each other. This makes the hammock a bit uneven in front & not very taut. Still a huge improvement over our old setup with blankets!
