The Knot-a-Hitch™ is a campsite dog-hitching system using climbing-inspired components and hardware. Designed with car camping in mind, this comprehensive and intuitive system allows your dog to roam at camp while remaining on leash.

The Knot-a-Hitch™ includes a strong, kernmantle rope that can be set up between two trees or secured to a single post using Ruffwear-designed hardware and an easy-to-use tensioning system. Your dog can explore their new surroundings while you go about camp duties such as setting up the tent, cooking dinner, or building a fire.

Note: The Knot-a-Hitch™ should only be attached to a harness (not a collar).

What's New: We updated the shell material on the stow bag for improved durability and resistance to fading.

Dimensions: Rope Length is 28.5 ft (8.7 m); Stow Bag is 6 x 7 x 2 in (16 x 18.5 x 5 cm); 14.4 ounces

    Camping made easier

    This works great on campsites to keep Jack on leash with room to explore. It’s great having the leash off the ground to avoid tree wraps and tangles.

    First Camp Trip Success

    I recent used on a first camping trip and was amazed at how easy the set up was. I love how easily you can pack up. The rope is great quality and the buckles are absolutely solid. I was able to safely tie my pup up on our camping site at a park and she had enough room to explore, and not get tangled up in everything. Packs up nicely after use!

    Great for Camping

    We spend a lot of time camping with our 3 dogs in our camper van. The Knot-a-Hitch keeps our “flight risk” dog close by, and also allows him freedom to explore. It’s super easy to set up, and stores compactly without becoming a tangled mess.
