My dogs inspire me to take advantage of every moment, to latch onto it and make the most of what the day, week, month, or year has to offer. They make each adventure more engaging, fun and memorable. We reside in Arizona and thoroughly enjoy our desert surroundings — by soaking up the sun, finding water wherever we can, and exploring each nook, cranny, and canyon of the Southwest. I work full time for the City of Mesa, but I make the most of our evenings and weekends to get outside. Quinci, affectionately referred to as "The Raptor", is my 10-year-old chi/terrier mix. She is uncomfortable around most others, so nature is her peace, happy place, and freedom. Sonora is my two-year-old recently adopted desert dragon. She loves all life has to offer and insists on exploring the world through taste (to my dismay). I love showing the world that these two 12-pound rock stars love exploring the outdoors as much as any dog!

-KatieWaypoints: Ashes on the Arizona Trail with Katie & Quinci
Ruffwear Ambassadors Katie and her canine-sidekick Quinci recently said goodbye to a member of their pack, beloved dog Chipper. To honor his life, Katie and Quinci embarked on a 67-mile, 6 day hike of the Arizona Trail where they spread Chipper's ashes in a bed of wildflowers.
