Bought this for my German Shepherd service dog- since moving to southern California, our heavier harnesses became impractical for the summer months. This vest is super light and comfortable for my dog, even when it's hot. It's also very visible and professional looking, unlike our other fleece Y-front option, which makes people more aware that she's working when we're in public. My dog finds it very comfortable and has no trouble settling in tight spaces with it on.

We do a lot of hiking and trail running and I plan on taking her to National Parks soon- the full range of motion and water resistance of this vest will be great on trail while still obviously identifying her as a service dog in non-pet friendly areas.

I want to add either embroidery or a patch reading "Do Not Pet" or some variation of that to the top middle section- the kind of bare panel on top is my only complaint about this vest. But I understand it was originally made for service dog programs who display there logos up there, so I get it. it doesn't seem tough to embroider or sew a patch onto, so I'll do that myself.

Really glad this has been released to owner-trainers! I will be almost-exclusively using this vest moving forward.

My GSD is a petite 54 pounds and a medium fits her perfectly, with some room to spare.

Hands down this is my favorite vest for my medical alert and response service dog. My dog has full range of motion while working in this vest and the light weight material will help keep her cool and comfortable in the summer. An added bonus is the vest will work well with my dog’s Ruffwear jackets during rainy or cold weather. The only downside would be the pockets are small but that is not a concern for me since I rarely utilize the pockets of my dog’s working gear.

We love ruffwear products and this was great for when my dog is working!
