Ruffwear's apparel features an active, tailored fit that hugs close to your dog's body, designed to move with their natural range of motion. Measurement is determined by your dog’s chest girth, measured around the widest part of the rib cage. Coverage may fit slightly shorter or longer depending on your dog’s proportions. If between sizes, size up for a more relaxed fit, or down for a more snug fit.

The Overcoat Fuse distills years of designing harnesses and apparel into a single jacket-harness combo, giving dogs who typically layer gear a seamless solution for getting outside in cool weather and light precipitation. Simply slip on, clip in, and go with this rugged workhorse of a jacket that has a water-repellent coating to shed light moisture and a fleece lining for added coziness.

The integrated harness means you can leash up confidently at two leash attachment points: one on the back and one at the chest - great for redirecting dogs that pull on-leash. Stash pick-up bags or small essentials in the two zippered pockets, and you've got a coat that's ready to go whenever you and your dog are.

While each style of Ruffwear apparel is designed for its intended use, this guide generalizes our fits in three ways. The Overcoat Fuse is a Relaxed Fit with vest coverage and side-release buckles for easy on/off.

    Perfection, with a caveat

    Don’t hesitate! This is the one! (but If you live in the western states read til the end) We searched for the right harness for our dog for ages and finally found the Front Range harness for our rocket ship/ staffie mix. It is the only one that doesn’t rub her raw when she is pulling me over hill and dale. (She is a rescue and thinks we are skijoring). She needs a coat in the winter and I knew this would be fit and be awesome because it’s Ruffwear. It is! Finally a coat and harness combo that is secure, comfortable, warm and easy to put on. I am so thrilled with it. The caveat, however, is that the lovely warm fleece lining absolutely fills with foxtails, especially the chest area. I have sewn ripstop nylon over the chest section, which helps, but not everyone will want to do that. I hope Ruffwear will work on that in future years. Otherwise A+!!

    A great general purpose jacket/harness

    We love the overcoat fuse jacket. Our pup pulls and we usually have him in a harness with a front connection to redirect him. It's so convenient to have him put on just one jacket and use it as a harness as well. It's well made and durable but doesn't get in the way (our pup is picky about what he wears). It is definitely sized large, so we are hoping to use a puffer or other jacket underneath for when it gets below freezing. It's so easy to put on - the buckles in the back are very convenient.

    Great product!

    Love this jacket for my dog.... I purchased on that was on clearance and I got a size too big... so gifted that one and came here to buy the correct size. My dog is a 60 pound boxer mix and the medium fits well. It is SO great having the jacket and harness all in one. Rather than a sweater and harness over it, this works and is easier all around for both of us. win/win!
