Grip Trex™ Dog Boots

rugged, breathable

Color

Selected: Obsidian Black

I need

The Grip Trex dog boots set the standard in paw wear for dogs who hike, bike, run, or explore the great outdoors with their humans.

With the Grip Trex, those paws can go the distance thanks to the rugged and resilient Ruffwear-designed Vibram outsole with exceptional traction and protection on varied terrain. Breathable mesh upper provides ventilation, and the closure system combines hook-and-loop with hardware, cinching around the narrowest part of the dog’s leg to provide a secure fit.

It's a good idea to check the closure system and adjust fit as needed 15 minutes into your activity and throughout the adventure. Getting started with Ruffwear boots? Check out our helpful tips.

Set of TWO boots. Many dogs have wider front paws than rear paws. We offer our boots in sets of two so you can order the appropriate sizes for a good fit on both the front and rear paws.

Not cheap, but worth the money

I purchased these boots for an extended trip through Utah. The roads were very hot and we did a lot of trail hiking with our dog. We didn’t want to burn her feet or run the risk of injuring her pads. We also purchased the Ruffwear socks that helped prevent problems with rubbing from the boots. Our dog walked like a goofball for a little while, but she quickly got used to them and wore them for numerous hikes without any problems. The boots are very well constructed and have little to no wear after our trip. We will definitely be taking them with us on all future trips.

    Five Stars!

My older dog was having difficulty standing and walking on smooth floors and also was falling down stairs. We tried another brand of shoes before buying the Ruffwear and found that these are an all around better product. These shoes have a wider opening for ease of slipping on and the soles are very grippy and rugged. Koko now looks forward to getting her shoes on and loves to strut around in them.

    sturdy!!

just got them and so far they are sturdier than any other shoes we have gotten!! they have a flex to them still, but are tough enough for outdoors. we live in the heat so the breath ability was essential for us. hoping to see they stand the test of time since we’re outside a lot!

    Malinois Approved

These boots are amazing from choosing different sizes to how they secure in place. My malinois approves of them in keeping her feet from freezing in our early morning walks.

    Saving My Pups Paws

After more than one instance of my border collie wearing/tearing multiple paw pads while playing due to hard stops and turns on dry ground, I got her these boots. She briefly protested them by refusing to move at all in the house, but got over it immediately when I announced it was play time. I do have to cinch them down *very tight* to keep them in place, but that's not surprising considering how fast she's moving/stopping/turning. Well worth the investment to keep her playing hard!
