The Grip Trex dog boots set the standard in paw wear for dogs who hike, bike, run, or explore the great outdoors with their humans.

With the Grip Trex, those paws can go the distance thanks to the rugged and resilient Ruffwear-designed Vibram outsole with exceptional traction and protection on varied terrain. Breathable mesh upper provides ventilation, and the closure system combines hook-and-loop with hardware, cinching around the narrowest part of the dog’s leg to provide a secure fit.

Set of TWO boots. Many dogs have wider front paws than rear paws. We offer our boots in sets of two so you can order the appropriate sizes for a good fit on both the front and rear paws.

    You won't find a better option, even if they only lasted one hike.

    I've had a lot of dogs, and a lot of boots. These are by far the best and most durable I have found. So why did they only last one hike you're wondering? The hike was 35km, with 2500 meters of elevation gain through some of the sharpest scree and choss the Canadian Rockies have to offer. These held up just long enough (15 hours) for me to live out a bucket list hike with my dog, well worth the money. 5 minutes into my second hike with her the toes blew out on the back boots, but this was not "normal wear and tear". They are amazing boots, I just wish I could get them with a kevlar top.

    Oldie but goodie

    Every dog I’ve ever owned has donned grip-trex dog shoes. My largest dog being a Great Dane who needed the largest sizes made, and my current service dog who needs nearly the smallest, with the rest of my dogs’ paws landing along the incredibly inclusive (especially of large and giant) size range.

    This latest iteration, in lichen green and teal, are a wonderful accidentally(?) “high viz” shoe choice that is easy to spot from a distance as well as easy to use.

    Every dog I’ve shod with these seemed extremely comfortable and adapted to wearing them quickly.

    Super sad to see this beautiful color combination go, but the style of the shoe is so fantastic that I won’t be switching types anytime soon.

    Excellent option for dogs with sensitive paws, or for dogs who need protection from pavement temperatures, urban and trail debris, and so on. They wash easily and dry quickly, and once broken in they fit my dog’s paws like a second skin. Arguably the best all-purpose dog shoe on the market, and has been for a very long time.

    Great boots!

    Got these to protect my little full sender while he does what he loves. After some heavy use I can confidently say these boots are tough. I recommend getting the socks. they help with getting the boots on, over-all comfort, plus they make the shoes fit better

    Love these!

    I bought these to replace an old pair from years ago. Happy to report that they fit perfectly and are easy to put on. They stay on securely and my 12 year old girl, Florida, looks absolutely adorable in the red ones! She started coming to work with me in a city environment, so I bought them to protect her paws from the hot pavement and the sometimes broken glass along our lunchtime travels. She is constantly getting stopped on our walks to receive compliments. It makes me feel much more comfortable knowing her paws are protected... thank you, RUFFWEAR!
