Great design except for the plastic buckle
This was very well designed. I loved having the quick release however one 1 year old puppy snapped the plastic buckle off the harness on his first sprint. If that was addressed this system would be perfect.
Omnijore
The harness is well made and easy to adjust. My husband and our GSD are still working out the kinks but they love it.
Best purchase for my dog and I.
I am a disabled veteran. In the past I have enjoyed high speed, risky activities. Due to the disabilities I live with following my service, I now must depend on the assistance of a service dog. If I chose to downhill ski in the winter, my dog and I would both be granted access via the ADA, but it’s just not safe for my trusted sidekick. Ski joring was the answer! Ruffwears Omnijore System is so easy and comfortable. We spent a few weeks training at feeding time in the garage and our first time out was amazing. This is the first outdoor activity I’ve been able to enjoy (enjoy, not only participate) in over ten years. My Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, Bitsy and I have been ski joring every chance we find a ride. In fact, I’m already saving to purchase a mountain board to jore all summer! Amazing design Ruffwear, your quality, versatility, and ease of use are unmatched!
Joring is the best!
I absolutely love this! We're training our pup to skate, run, and eventually ski jor. The system works great and everyone gets an awesome workout - better yet, it's super fun! Both harnesses fit nicely, and the bungie cord leash helps our dog to move freely without lurching his human forward. It seems much safer than a traditional leash set up. Highly recommended for an energetic dog who loves to pull and play sports with his / her human.
Better than most
I use it mainly for running with two 100 lb labs that do not run the same pace. Having separate leads is a godsend as one can pull and lead while the other trots by my side. Keeping them untangled depends on how well they listen to voice commands. I doubled both leashes to make both half as long while retaining the stretchiness.
