Wish it came in a smaller size
We initially learned of Ruffwear after researching booties for our 75lb American Bulldog and were very happy with the quality of the Grip Trex. In so, it was a no brainer to order the Polar Trek when we were looking for winter booties for our 8lb Yorkie. Unfortunately, the smallest size does not fit. Small dogs are sturdy and active too. I hope Ruffler extends their sizes.
First day out with boots on, he did not mind them at all (7 months old) and they stayed on for hours of snowshoeing in deep snow!!! Great product that does what it is made to do!! Thanks from me and Bear
These are hands (paws) down, the absolute very best! The perfect online measuring system was spot on. The snug fit, well thought out built in gaiters to protect the velcro, not to mention the traction provided by the Vibram soles, make adventuring in deep snow and ice or even crossing a glacier, too easy. All of the above allow for the adventure to continue on, worry free about ice build up between the toes or painful ice building up around the top of the boot. Bravo, well done, RuffWear!
It takes a bit of time to get the boots on but they do a great job protecting his feet... Hilarious first fitting but Radar got used to them quickly and loves to romp about in the deep snow !
Great build, great quality, great design!
My issue with these is that I ordered the smallest size for my Mini Aussie and they still seem to be too large. I'm worried about the room inside the boots being an irritant to his little paws. They are a little heavy and he has had a hard time getting used to them (not in relation to quality of product.) I will say though, I'm not worried at all about him being injured or affected by salt or cold while wearing these boots. There's no way the snow and such is soaking through or anything. Very comforting for me.
