Holes are very small, so treats do not escape. I generally let the dog play to tired, and then open the mushroom to give treats. Love the large size . Bulldog hasnt chewed through in weeks.

This toy performs pretty much exactly how you would expect! My dogs still don't know the secret to getting the treats out, but it keeps them entertained for large chunks of time and out of my way when I have things to do around the house. Like all Ruffwear toys & gear, this hasn't taken on any damage yet from my two hell hound German Shepherds and seems to be pretty close to indestructible, so these will definitely last for years to come!

Great for feeding my dog her kibble dinner. She has destroyed or maimed every other puzzle feeder I’ve gotten her, but this one stands up to the challenge. It slows down her eating more than the dish type puzzle feeders and it gives her much more enrichment. It’s also super easy to pour kibble into the top without a mess!

I got this as a gift because I love the one I own. It fits an entire meal inside and I toss it in the dishwasher after.
