Only suitable for mildly cold weather
Not as warm as I was expecting, but it seems well designed and well made.
Stump'in for the Stumptown
Our Boston loves this jacket! It keeps her warm and she gets lots of comments on how stylin she is. :-)
Am very impressed and I think the dogs are too
The fabric is very nice. It is appropriately”stiffish” for something you want to stay in place and be waterproof, yet folds easily and lies smoothly on my 2 Aussies. The medium fit great with very little strap adjustment on my 48 pound Katie and right to the end of her natural bobtail. For 58 pound Teddy, it comes to about 2 inches short of his natural bobtail and still covers his sides well even with the straps let out to about 1 inch from the end. They had no objection to me fitting the coats on them and were not at all anxious to take them off even though it was one of our warmish days in Colorado. My dogs have worn the front range harness since they were 8 weeks old; they’ll be 4 on October 28th. I think this jacket feels like the harness to them. The chest piece is narrow enough so as not to affect their zooming around, but will clearly offer good protection. The top has a little tuck at the center point of the bottom edge, helping the jackets lie smoothly. My dogs will probably wear them when they go out in really bad winter weather. In the past, they’ve managed to take coats off each other. They won’t be able to with these. I wish adult coats were this well constructed. Lucky dogs. And, I ordered one of each color. The colors are gorgeous. I do wish there was a Christmas red — and a red Front Range Harness. Hint, hint.
Not what I was expecting.
I bought this jacket for two dogs. I found it was very stiff and so it didn’t meet my needs. We live the quinzee and I thought this would be a light version of that.
