Finally! The dog walking belt that works for us
I have tried belt after belt, trying to find the one that will hold the things we (my 4 terriers and I) need at the dog park, or for a walk in the woods. Finally, after years of too bulky/too small/too bouncy/or some other problem, I tried the Trail Runner Belt - and found near perfection! Enough room for sun gloves, keys, and waste bags. A water bottle holder that doesn't let the bottle drop out when I bend over, and doesn't let the bottle bounce against my back. I have added a treat pouch to the front belt, and stitched on a net pocket to hold 2 small balls (cause I am using the 2 pockets it came with for other things) on the side of the water bottle sleeve. Now I can hit the trails with my boys without me feeling like I am packing the equivalent of a suitcase around my waist!
I have taken this on a couple walks and runs now, and it is extremely comfortable! I hardly notice its there. The belt is wide enough to carry some extras but still small enough to stay inconspicuous. Love it!
One Step from Genius
I love this belt and I use it almost daily. It's light, water resistant, simple, functional, and versatile. The zipped pouch has an extra short leash inside of it for keys. The stretch fabric pouch on the right side can fit oddly-sized objects, like a ball or a roll of **** bags. But when it's not stretched out it lies flat. Very nice. The quick-release leash attachment is awesome. Your dog can move from side to side without tripping you up. I've gone running with two dogs attached and it was outstanding. I do wish there was a convenient spot for treats. I know it would take away from the simplicity, but the designers of Ruffwear could've made it happen beautifully. The zipped pouch can hold treats, but that renders the interior leash less useful because then your keys are co-mingling with the treats and it's just not easy to quickly get a treat when you need one (or ten).
Running with my dogs
It’s ok, but it lossens up and slides down.
