These boots are well made! Quality alone is 5 stars. They work well to keep my dog’s paws dry even when he runs in chest deep snow. Measuring to get the right size matters.
I have a 95-lb American Bully. He has fat paws…so the 3” worked on width, but is about 1” too long . He tripped at first when walking on sidewalk/grass, because his normal gait wasn’t high enough. I was concerned and reached out to Customer Care, who were very helpful. The issue with him tripping seemed to get fixed once he had to work his way through the snow. (The snow made him need to pick his paws up higher.)
Ruffwear recommended the boot sock to help with the boot fit. And, they have—especially with getting the dew claw into the boot smoothly. The socks take some practice to put on (more so than the boots). It took repetition and patience to get him comfortable and accommodating with the process of putting them on. It’s all worth it! Especially to protect him — not just from the elements, but from the ice salt put down to deal with foul weather.
Overall, very happy with the purchase(s) and the customer service. Every inquiry or message has been given prompt attention and detailed replies, with sincere effort to help. He’s a very happy dog and I am a grateful dog-mom. If you live in snowy or icy zones, your pup definitely needs these!
