The Front Range Day Pack incorporates Ruffwear's signature radial cut saddlebags with the customer-favorite Front Range® Harness platform, making it an everyday pack staple in any dog's gear closet. Dogs can help shoulder the load thanks to the integrated padded harness and belly strap that adjust for exceptional fit and pack stability.

The saddlebag geometry creates a passive compression system that is formfitting and supports efficient load carrying. There are three leash attachment options: a V-ring and a tow loop on the back, and a reinforced webbing loop on the chest – great for redirecting dogs that pull when on leash.

With plenty of internal organization and trail-minded details, this comfortable day pack equips dogs to carry the day's provisions on hikes and frontcountry pursuits.

    Front Range Day Pack

    The Day Pack is definitely the best harness I've purchased! The material is sturdy and easy to clean. I have a Great Dane that is 175 lbs, as well as, a 145lb Saint Bernard and the fit is great. My Great Dane is my 5lb, 17-year-old Chihuahua’s Service Dog. She has arthritic knees and cloudy vision. She fits in the Day Pack pocket perfectly and in the other pocket she carries a couple of bottles of water. This leaves our Saint Bernard able to carry snacks, treats, potty bags, etc. The extra clip under the belly allows for stability.

    I would recommend the Day Pack to anyone no matter their dog's size!

    Best dog adventure bag ever!

    We love these bags! I originally just bought 2 but had to buy 3 more for the rest of my dogs! Can’t wait to adventure in them again! The bags are very spacious and can hold a lot but do not look bulky at all and my dogs are very comfortable in them!

    She Loves It!

    I was wrong and even though I measured, Stella is a small dawg not a medium!

    I couldn't test fit the original and too large Day Pack when it arrived and after the 30 days return policy, Ruffwear allowed me to return and shortly after that I ordered the right size.

    Stella loves her new outfit! :)

    Great first pack for my dog!

    This was the first packmy dog Fen has ever used, or even tried on! I did my research before buying the pack, trying to decide what size and style I wanted for the trips we were planning.. it worked so GOOD! My dog amazed me.. as soon as the pack goes on.. he starts getting excited and ready to get going! It was like he knew what the pack meant! Only taken it on one camping/hiking trip so far.. but it seems very durable and Fen seems to like wearing it too!

    Superb pack in a gorgeous color

    I purchased this pack in the now discontinued Aurora teal. Gorgeous vibrant color, and I hope ruffwear will add some more cool-tone bright colored gear to their lineup to accentuate their more typical red/mauve/sage green/other somewhat generic earthtone offerings.

    The pack is structured over one of the best harness systems I’ve ever come across. A 6-point contact design ensures the pack doesn’t shift around when being worn. Unlike most dog packs, ruffwear’s designs work with dog anatomy to ensure optimally safe placement and distribution of loaded pack weight. Too often dog packs put the bags along the center of their backs- this is a terrible idea that is inviting injury. Ruffwear, however, designs packs to keep their weight over the sturdiest part of the dog.

    Further, dog packs are notoriously hard to balance. And if you’re like me and using the pack nearly daily, an unbalanced pack can set a dog up for long term issues from unbalanced muscle conditioning.

    Ruffwear’s packs intuitively distribute the weight within each side. Meaning they so long as you get the “left side vs right side” weight distribution correct, the pack will help ensure that load is in an optimally efficient position. Clever!

    I have found that all of ruffwear’s packs run a a smidge on the large side. My current dog is 50lbs and has measurements definitively in their size medium suggested pack size. While it does fit my dog just fine, I had to cinch down every strap on the medium pack to its…
