I love Ruffwear products, some times the price can be a little daunting but it is always totally worth it, and I try to support companies that are doing good like making the effort to be more sustainable. So I had my eye on the vert for a while, and was a little unsure because my dog is getting older and I dont know how long she will need it for. I pulled the trigger and am really glad I did. This coat is like a blanket, and I realized that even when she is real old and creaky this full coverage coat will be good to keep her joints warm. Here is Southern Oregon that has been way to dry for way to long, we are having a VERY wet late winter/spring so we have been using the coat a bunch, and so far the water resistance is great and keeping her very warm. I also bought her 3rd Front Range harness, I love them because with her thin fur it is comfortable for her to be in all day and doesn't rub soar spots. I want to point out that there is nothing wrong at all with her old harness aside from it being dirty and crusty from all the swimming and fun she does in it, Im actually guessing I could through it in the wash and it would clean up really well. But it doesn't have any tears or seams coming apart, its so well made it can stand up to just about any thing. I think it would be neat for Ruffwear to have some sort of second hand turn in program for gear that belonged to a pup that has pasts, or has just been out grown. Even if it went to street dogs or others in need.
