Could be a tad bit bigger for our 85lb lab

taking it backpacking in the high sierra's with my yellow lab. I figure since it's cold above the treeline and my girl likes to curl up as tight as she possibly can, the bed could work, but there no way she will be able to zip up in it. I think only a toy dog could fit zipped up, but overall the quality is high. Don't see the zipper breaking or the pocket for the pad ripping at all. My lab will sleep on it, but her paws and head definitely hang over the edges.Maybe we need an XL or jumbo for all us 'big dog' owners.

Highlands Sleeping Bag

I use it in a dog trailer I pull behind my recumbent trike. It keeps my dog nice and warm and that matters in New Hampshire. She lies on top of it and is always warm after a ride. Great product.

Worth every penny

This has kept my dog warm in many conditions, including brought him back from intense cold shivers. The fantastic fabric it is made of doesn't retain moisture or dirt and seems to keep itself clean. We got it pretty wet and muddy, but within no time it was dry and the dirt just shook off. Anywhere I lay this down my dog is happy to hang out on it. And it passes the durability test of having sticks relentlessly chewed and scratched into it with no rips or tears to be seen. It's a great size for a medium dog, 50lbs or so, to have lots of space to get comfy. The packed size is a little big for backpacking, certainly not ultralight, but its worth the weight and space undoubtedly for how happy the dog and I both are not sharing our warmth. Hack: if you already have a Thermarest Torso pad size Small, it fits inside perfectly.

Cozy Dogs

I have a chihuahua x pit bull (20 lb) and a pit bull (40 lb). We haven’t tried this camping yet but keep our house pretty cool in the winter and our smaller dog really enjoys snuggling up inside. I can fit both dogs in the bag if we put the larger dog in first but may look into getting a second bag.

Highlands Sleeping bag

Sent it back. It was a great quality bag, but too small for my 75 lb. Black Labrador. I needed 5 more inches on the diameter for him to be comfortable in it. Looking forward to the updated version due out next summer. Hopefully it is a big bigger in size
