The Swamp Cooler Core™ is an add-on that provides cooling, extra lift-and-assist support, and additional stability for the Palisades™ Pack, Approach™ Pack, and Web Master™ Harness.

This three-layer chest panel features Ruffwear's Swamp Cooler™ Tech that uses evaporative cooling to efficiently disperse heat from the dog’s core when exploring in warm temperatures. To activate, wet the Swamp Cooler Core with water, use the hook-and-loop sleeves to attach it to the chest and belly straps of the pack or harness, then hit the trail!

    Keeps the bernedoodle cool

    Charlie wears this with his packing harness. He's definitely a cold-weather dog so he tends to overheat, but if I soak this and his harness in water when we cross the river, he does much better.

    Steady

    This harness fits my Basenji very well. No escape for this Houdini. I actually think, she feels more secure in a harness she can not get out of. Safer for her . The handle is a bonus when she needs that boost in rough terrain. She is about 20-21 lbs and is in a XS.

    I can’t actually ask pooch if this helps, but it sure feels cooler once we soak it in a creek and fasten onto his Approach pack on long alpine hikes. A must for long summer hiking days
