This leash is soft on the hands with a swivel clasp that can be locked (as with many other Ruffwear leashes). We've only tested it for a sniffy walk but the bungee allows for some leeway that isn't present in the traditional leashes, and we think it will be great for our runs!

This leash is even springier than expected and has been great for xc skiing with my standard poodle. Can't wait to run with her using this--so much less jarring!
