Dogs can hold their stride with the Vert™ Jacket no matter what elements are thrown their way. Designed to embrace the wintry-mix that would otherwise mean spending the day inside, the shell fabric is windproof, waterproof, and breathable.

The Vert™ Jacket features extended waterproof coverage over the hips and thighs and recycled, lofted insulation that packs exceptional warmth. Leg loops keep the jacket in place when the winds kick up, and the leash portal allows the Vert™ to be worn over a harness.

While each style of Ruffwear apparel is designed for its intended use, this guide generalizes our fits in three ways. The Vert is a Relaxed Fit with side-release buckles for easy on/off and extended vest coverage over hips and thighs.

    great winter coat

    I got this coat when we were going to be visiting OR with our golden, who had her stomach shaved due to health issues. Easy to put on. The elastic that goes under her legs kept it in place. While we were in a pet store, I saw a similar coat (also by Ruffwear) that had a fleece (soft lining). Had I seen it first, I would have bought it.

    Vert Winter Dog Coat

    My dog wore this coat in snowy/rainy weather. It has a nice lining to keep her warm and the outer layer is waterproof to keep her dry. Very nice jacket.

    Love!

    This jacket is so nice! My pup tolerates it well. She’s an 82 lb Pitty and I got her a large in CanyonLands Orange. It’s definitely an oversized fit, I measured her at 32” around her chest. The material is lightweight and feels soft, but will definitely keep her warm. I wanted to get her orange for more visibility on our woodland hikes. Very happy with this purchase!

    Great fit for Corgis!

    Really pleased with the fit and features of this coat, in particular the harness style strap, which gives my short dogs plenty of room in the shoulders and no tripping! The cut out for high tail carriage and hind leg straps are great features, too. Everything stays put even during the most rough play. My 32 lb girl fits a size small perfectly.

    The vert winter coat is a lovely, warm article of dog wear that allows the pup to be comfortable and retain warmth on extremely chilly days in the Rockies.
