Great so far!
I bought this pack to replace the previous version (grey and green) because my pup got a hold of it and chewed off one of the straps. So far it has been great. The new design is much more compact and streamline. It looks great and functions well. We have hiked with it several times and have had no issues whatsoever. My 35lb border aussie wears the small size, adjusted nearly as small as it can go. It also fits my 50lb border aussie.
Great for long days on the trail!
This pack has been great for long trail runs, day hikes, and even overnights. The pack is a good fit for my dog (he’s 30lbs, 22 inches around the chest, and a small fits well) and he doesn’t seem to notice he’s wearing it. He has not had any chafing or rubbing and so far the pack itself appears to be holding up well. It has just enough room for water, treats/food, bags, and the trail runner bowl. I do love the collapsible water bottles that come with it, but I wish they were easier to clean/dry. Overall this has been a really good purchase for us.
Perfect Canine Day or Overnight Pack
So many good things about this pack. The pockets are roomy enough for water, snacks, keys, **** bags, and the trail runner bowl with a little room to spare. The straps adjust easily and don't get in the way. It doesn't rub his armpits (read on for sizing tips). Everything fits tight to his body and doesn't top from side to side unless the pockets are poorly balanced. The one thing I didn't think much about but I'm really pleased with is the color. My dog blends into the rocks and forest really easily, but the colors of this pack are extremely visible. Maybe it's just where we are (southern California), but the orange color that everyone always wants for visibility blends in a lot more than the bright blue and green do. My dog is 50lbs, with a fairly thick double coat and built similar to many Siberian huskys (he's a shikoku Ken). His girth measurement is 27 inches exactly, and his neck is about 18. I was worried that the medium wouldn't fit around the waist because he's somewhat lean and he's basically right between a small and medium. I'm so happy I sized up, because if I'd gotten the small I'm pretty sure the straps would have ridden up in his armpits. The medium sits back a couple inches and doesn't interfere with his legs, shoulders, or neck.
