Lumenglow™ Hi-Vis Dog Jacket

The shorting hours of daylight and too many close encounters with the ever-present inattentive driver prompted me recently to look for a high-viz vest for my Labrador, Autumn. I had three requirements: one, that it was harness friendly; two, that it was somewhat durable, and three, it was high-viz. the RuffWear vest checks all the boxes. Since It’s arrival several weeks ago, Autumn and I have used it daily. She walks three times a day and averages five to eight miles total, so we have a bit of experience with it at this point. What I especially like about it is that it both daylight and dark capable thanks to three nice and wide reflective strips along the body of the vest. In the daytime, it’s definitely noticeable thanks to its bright colors. Autumn has worn the vest in light rain and although it not a rain coat, it does afford a level of wet weather protection. Do drivers notice us now? Yes they do. Most will move over to give us a bit more room and smile and wave as they pass. The rare few even slow down. The bottom line: if you and your dog are out walking day, or night, in the woods, or in the ‘hood, you can’t go wrong with this vest!
